Marketing Thought has done projects since 2002.
We’ve been creating content for a myriad of companies– from Sony and Microsoft XP, to Zippo and Moet & Chandon across three continents.
Marketing thought is a lot more fun than marketing commodities. Of course if one were to argue, “thought leadership” is a rather valued commodity…and while it goes by many names, Thought Leadership manifests into all sorts of brilliant content, thoughtful blogs and well-researched campaigns across multiple channels.
Whether through the latest trends or with unorthodox and innovative approaches to traditional methods, we can always find a new way to see things and create digital strategies that people remember.
What types of projects?
We’ve written marketing copy for everyone from New Zealand Herald and Irish Post, to less ‘serious’ clients. In fact we published an A3 Music Street Press and worked with some of Asia’s largest super clubs and venues. We also partnered with Moet & Chandon, Tiesto Elements of Life World Tour, Three Olives Vodka, Zippo & Marlboro to name a few.
Today, conquering content for all is what we’re about. We bring in the right skill sets for this, because gone are the days when all you needed was a copywriter or two. The ideal content for your current project needs to come from the type of thinkers who have a background in marketing, without being pigeon-holed into a single industry.
Kristina loves building Digital Marketing Programs within niche vertical markets. Programs that have a dual purpose in life — Acquisition and Customer Loyalty. She can thus be a bit of a geek when it comes to marketing, but as a VJ, her visual fixations make up for that in sheer talent for getting things done right.
She has worked in New Zealand, USA and the UK. As an expat entrepreneur, she blogs about many topics from financial and entrepreneurial, to social commentary and #MindsetOverMatter essays. Kristina is also the Content Editor for Global Citizen and curates Mind The Gap.
Pan likes to make sure everything is done right. He is a true believer in a serious yet fun method of project management starting from the inception of an idea right to the finish (with After-Care© included). He is always coming up with ideas of ways to approach things, but is always careful to road test them on himself (and a relevant group of ‘crash-test dummies’- aka sample) before taking a passenger along.
He has a somewhat unconventional view of how things can actually work outside of the proverbial box, and as an expat artist he writes guided by his never-ending Intrepid Traveler days. He works for every kind of publication you can imagine, including TripAdvisor and Amazon.
Pan tends to be the time keeper in this relationship, so while Kristina is busy with ROI sheets or building templates that look uber-cool and compelling to a Board of Directors, he will make sure someone is there to answer the door when the deadline arrives.
You don’t need a big agency to come up with big ideas and engaging content. Marketing Thought is run by a husband and wife team that have the uncanny ability to finish each other’s sentences and read each other’s minds.
Wherever Kristina is playing in her digital playground, Pan is always there to back her up. Writer, dj, vj, digital marketing geek, world traveler and chef…
It all makes for one innovative team.
Oh and of course, let’s not forget our Freelancers…
Over the years, we have embraced a few freelancers we call on for various bits and bobs. Sara Caitlin is a freelance free thinker and good friend from Kristina’s teenager days in Hong Kong. Sara lives and breathes social media insatiably…She writes for everyone from artists to corporates; and on everything from cafe napkins to billboards. She has worked with us for eight years and has honed her digital skills in the following industries: Fashion, Lifestyle, Startups, and Expat Life.
